YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

I’m just gonna leave this right here with some of my work versus someone who copied my work. I did this tattoo about 10 years ago on a friend of mine and have seen countless copies of it on the internet. I’m not trying to be cocky here, but you get what you pay for and when I do a tattoo, I’m gonna do my best work every time. My clients are paying for the 17+ years of tattooing experience I have as well as the countless hours of my own time I have spent drawing, designing and creating art. That is time I have invested into my own career outside of my tattooing time. I take my tattoos very seriously and if it’s something that I don’t feel like I would be able to do a phenomenal job on, I have no problem referring my clients to an artist that I believe would. Tattoos are a luxury, and trust me, I understand they’re expensive. I get tattooed just like y’all and I’m in no way balling outta control however before you settle for something cheaper keep this image in mind. This is my job and any tattoo I do will be my best work and I’ve been able to make a living out of it almost 18 years. This isn’t my side gig or my hobby, this is how I pay my bills and continue to do so with the help of my clients wherever they may be who appreciate the effort I put into doing quality tattoos. Now That’s a Cover-up

image

I rarely do cover-ups.  I feel like a tattooo should be planned out and prepared for. Tattoos should be like stds,  you catch a bad one, you’re in it for life. However this girl came t me with this amazing idea and I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen this before.Mistakes happen, realize it, make it better and move on.
I had so much fun doing this tattoo though, I pretty much got to scribble out some crazy shit with my machine. Twas a good day.

Bringing Skulls to Life

Today I had the opportunity to go over a tattoo of some skulls that a client had gotten while on vacation in Bolivia.
I had a lot of fun doing this tattoo, but unfortunately I had forgotten to get an before picture until halfway though. But if you look at the first picture you can see what was there and what I did already.

Lily Cover-up

Today I had the opportunity to cover up another tattoo-party tattoo. I really feel like I am doing my part to promote good tattoo art in the DC area by covering up all these tattoos, one tattoo at a time.
This one came out beautifully and I couldn’t ask for a better client to do it on. This girl was at the shop as soon as we opened with a picture of the flower she wanted to get and wasn’t wasting any time. It was awesome, not to also mention she sat like a champ for two and a half hours.
