MUSIC: ODD FUTURE at Electric Factory in Philadelphia 2017

In 2017 my dude Corey and I saw Odd Future at least 3 times and we seriously listened to them everyday at the shop. This video doesn’t accurately capture the insane energy of this show-. Seriously ranks in the top 10 live acts I’ve ever seen.

MUSIC: For Your Box EP by Cage

In 1999 Cage recorded & handmade 100 cassette tapes to promote his debut album: “Movies For The Blind.” They were only recorded on TDK/Sony 60 minute cassettes and he wrote a different message on all the covers and entitled it “For Your Box.”

I have known about this tape for years but never had been able to listen to it, being as there were only 100 available copies and I had been unable to find this tape anywhere.. until tonight while scouring the pages of underground hip-hop bloggers, I found a link to the album I had been dying to hear for years. My holy grail of underground hip-hop, as it might be.

And so kiddies, words can not express the complete joy and fulfillment I am experiencing right now as the twisted words of Cage pour from my speakers, knowing that I have been dying to hear these words for longer than I can remember, and it is everything I had hoped it would be.

Who says nothing is free anymore?

One of my favorite rapper’s Immortal Technique recently released his newest CD “The Martyr” absolutely free to download or stream on his website.
Technique is an amazing artist with an amazing message and so far what I have heard from this album is nothing but pure gold. Plus it’s free, so what do you have to lose?

I seriously listen to so many types of music, its probably what I know and love more then anything.
So often I come across underground artists or even mainstream artists that nobody I know has ever heard of, so I’d like to start posting songs randomly from some of my favorite artists.
This song is from one of the most commercially successful and long-lived independent hip hop group, Atmosphere.
